Jets can really get better with 5 of first 69 Picks!

They seem to have their QB and 4, 6, 35, 38, 69, 109, 116, 144, 156, I would take 2 offensive line guys with top 2.

Zion Johnson
Alec Lindstrom
Ben Petrula
Brandon Sebastian

Will the Falcons take a $40.5M dead cap hit and release Matt Ryan?

Too much salary for 22-23 at $51.75M.

Might be a nice fit for Giants?

Ryan probably stays and they try to rebuild the o-line. What about a Ryan for Russell Wilson trade. The Falcons send Ryan, Lindstrom and 2 first rounders. The Seahawks are low on draft picks and need a rebuild and Wilson seems to want out.

Wilson is not worth that.

The Jets 4 & 7 and Giants 5 & 8 are sitting pretty with 2 Top 8 picks each!

All the great offensive linemen in this draft, I would use both top picks if I was either NY GM!

Genius this year:

Eagles GM > Howie Roseman with 3 first rounders and here I would always take offensive Linemen if you have your franchise QB. Is Hurts the guy? 14-19-21

Final slots after this weekend.

Paul Finebaum had a veery interesting snow about the portal. Of course, we understand that the SEC doesn't need the portal to maintain its crop of recruits. If anything, the portal does not help the SEC as much as it helps the other conferences. However, he was adamant that he believes that the players will enter the portal just to increase their earnings in NIL. He references the Oklahoma QB, Caleb Williams, who entered the portal to increase his earnings. He is looking for more money from anybody -- and will go back to OK if that is the best offer. Although Paul understands why Williams is doing this, he did state that it will upset most fans who believe in their schools and believe that athletes that attend those schools share the same love of the school. I think Finebaum has a point for consideration. If, we have exceptional athletes at BC, and the enter the portal just to see if they can make more money, how will we react to that? It sure will be different -- at some point in are BC experience, we fell in love with the school and that is why success in football and the other sports mean so much to us -- we know how difficult it is to get that diploma and we are so proud of the guys who play BC sports for doing all they do and earning that degree. The transfer portal changes the horizon -- changes the parameters. We fans, have to be as ready for that as the athletes, admin, and coaches. Interesting times . . .

All great points raised CDB!

I’m ready, as are most fans.

The big question, is BC is prepared to do what is necessary to compete and adapt to the NIL, TP and new changing paradigm?

Can Kraft, big alum Fish, others aforementioned, (On the Transfer Portal Thread), that are needed to join with other BC Admin leaders come up with a united, coordinated approach to make BC title contenders?

Past performances and history tells you this may be Mission Impossible with BC’s current Leaders.

I posted my strategic thoughts on how BC should start?

There may be way more I missed and from others here and now getting a BC diploma may be a low priority.

Make no mistake, this is gonna be wild and fun! I hope BC gets a few and we start involving Alums & Biz in our NIL approach.

Eagles G(enius)M Howie Roseman jettisoned Wentz and Ertz and took a huge $41M dead cap hit and now has Miami 15, Colts 16, whom both missed playoffs and 19 or worse if they win in playoffs. 5 foundation picks in first 83!

HR liked Jalen Hurts much better in future development and did not want Wentz who was horrible versus the Jags in missing Playoffs & during year at times, plus HR traded for a nice QB backup in Minshew.

My hope is BC Kraft and big man Fish can cobble together some power alums, former players, CEO's and biz people and form a group to help BC is the NIL and Transfer Portal strategic approach.

We get 2-4 key players a year, that is solid!

GO EAGLES!

I have no idea what the Jets will do, but I wish the Pats had those picks. Obviously, that defense needs a big refresh with what happened the last month, capped off by last night.

The Jets have a great opportunity at the Senior Bowl. They'll probably find guys they really want who fall in the 30-60 range. It's not an awesome top 10 draft, so if they aren't in love with somebody, they may be open for business for one of those top 10s.

If you want to help your defense, I always believed getting an power offensive line to control the ball a little more time of possession in a pass happy NFL & NCAA and give your defense a test.

Jets should use mix of draft and FA and take best 2 OL and combo picks & FA for defensive players RB WR TE since Jets have cap space.

No substitute for best OL now that you drafted a Solid QB.

I can see a LT with a top ten pick, but you can get really good interior OL guys lower in the first and second. The second top ten pick can yield a lower first and a second.
