I have a feeling BigBaer will blame me for this… 😅

on a serious note

this is not bad news to me and I don’t recall any of our main recruits jumping on board thanks to him.

Questions we all had were:
1) Why didn't why he run a RPO when Phil went down and he had to use Dennis?
2) Why couldn't our highly rated line block in this system?
3) Why couldn't are highly rated receivers catch short passes over the middle?
Perhaps I do not remember these issues being addressed by our coaches, but int seemed like Dennis took all the heat (he was responsible, but not the only one responsible).

1) They tried. DG couldn't execute
2) Because ACC teams started Blitzing over 50% of the plays and loaded the box because. they could. BC didn't have capable QB
3) Did you watch Williams running croßing routes. DG threw late, high and behind him. DG had no quick release . Did you see Zay waiting for DG to quickly pass the ball to him on a screen ? Zay could have read Tolstoy's "War and Peace" while waiting for Grosel to pass to him. DG had no zip on the ball. Did you watch any of the games ?

Grosel deserved the "heat". Open your eyes.

'21 is done, '22 will be fun.

But Baer, if the guy you have in there cannot do the job, why did they leave him for so long. Why give someone else a chance -- someone who would be around in 2022? I tell you what. The next time you lose an employee and his replacement cannot do the job. Go into your management and tell them that you tried the replacement employee and he cannot do the job, so none of the company goals can now be met -- it isn't your fault -- it's the fault of the replacement. See how well that works for you. It also wouldn't be wise to mention that the employee who got hurt, did so because he kept making dangerous decisions and you either could not or did not correct that.

I agree . I think Haf wanted to believe DG would come around. There were not any experienced backups. I would have given Morehead a chance earlier.

I think Haf learned his lesson.

Morehead has all the physical attributes to be great. Strong arm, quick release, puts a lot of zip on the ball he can throw those darts, good footwork, mobile enough, etc. Let's hope he has the QB IQ as in pre snap reads, post snap reads, good touch, good timing/anticipation, understands scheme, leadership qualities.

I think Morehead has a great attitude. He's not rattled or stressed. No situation is too big for him. He wants to learn, very coachable. Must be his California surfer dude background.

I think we've had enough analyzing '21. We have had enough of the venting over the Daz years.
Let's talk BC football and the future under Haf.

I never criticized anyone first. I gave my opinions and debated them. If I'm attacked personally I will punch back .

But that gets tired fast.

Forgetting our little Arguments -- we do have a QB who had gone down to injury two years in a row and who takes chances like hanging on to the ball until someone gets open and trying to bowl over guys when he runs -- it would not surprise any of us if he goes down -- I certainly hope that our coaches are trying to get someone ready, who can run our offense in case that happens. No, not anywhere as well as Phil could with his talent, but enough that we can keep the other team honest. I think Hafley trusted Cignetti to take care of that part and believed that we were covered with Grosel and concentrated on the D. Hope is takes a much more active role with our new OC.
