Cignetti leaves for Pitt

Like BC TAMU lost its first string QB very early in the season. This team was supposed to challenge for the SEC West. Fans went negative -- couldn't believe the coaches didn't have a backup ready. Loved the head coach, but started trashing assistant coaches. Predictions that TAMU would lose recruits because of all the negativity. Result: TAMU has its highest rated incoming class ever -- maybe the highest rated class of any school ever. Just another case of proving negative posts by fans do NOT influence recruits. Passionate fans are exactly that -- passionate fans -- I would never argue that such posts influence recruits to come here, but I would challenge those who claim we are losing recruits because of negative posts to provide substantiation for their claims -- especially those who leave in a huff every week for about a minute or two before coming back.
Kids are so much smarter, savvy and get input from coaches, camps and so many other informed sources.

If any player let a sports blog influence his college athletic decision then that low intelligence athlete would not be worth giving a scholarship to attend.

This diseased diarrhea posted here by one immature incoherent irrational and irrelevant juvenile is a utter embarrassment to all sports posters and my Alma Mater.

How are your plans for the domed stadium coming along ? I heard you have already booked your favorite band Maroon Five to play at the EagleDome.

Seriously, where do you get the time to write those nonstop mindless rants. You need a hobby to chill out. Have you considered golf.

I am not unhappy that he is leaving. I was disappointed in his continued emphasis on the long ball when Dennis was at QB. It just seemed like he made zero adjustments to fit Dennis' skill set.

To be honest Cig did try to adjust to Grosel. Which means no passes greater than 15 yards. Grosel took too long, no zip on the ball, too high, no timing , threw behind didn't lead, flagged where ball was going.
This compounded the pressure on the O-Line. They blitzed BC all the time. Their whole defense loaded the box. BC's core O-Line will all play in the NFL . The tackles we're the weak link. Vrable was injured . Petrula gets a C+. When you have a QB that can't connect long or short the opposition pass rush will be unstoppable no matter how many All ACC players you have on the Line.

It’s pretty sad when your offensive coordinator leaves for a conference foe for the same job. It’s one thing if he left for a head coaching position, but it was for the same job in the ACC. It will be interesting to see how many transfer out. I get that Cignetti was from Pennsylvania but it’s not like it’s across the country. Not a good sign when coordinators leave for the same job in the same conference.
He's from Pittsburgh...

If I was an OC at Pitt and BC offered me OC Id probably do it

Ignoring posts from our chosen one, folks on the Pitt board have just lost Whipple who took them from the 94th offense when he got there to number 3 when he left for Nebraska. Now his replacement is coming from the a program he led to the mid-nineties. There is is concern on the Pitt boards no matter how well Cignetti gets along with their head coach. And I read this concern on 5 different Pitt boards and if I were a Pitt fan I would have the same concerns.
