Rumor has it that Cignetti went to Kraft and told him... Pitt wants me... Pay me more or I leave and Kraft said Goodbye...

If true... I stand with Kraft... 97th Ranked offense and we keep blaming everything but him?

Like BC TAMU lost its first string QB very early in the season. This team was supposed to challenge for the SEC West. Fans went negative -- couldn't believe the coaches didn't have a backup ready. Loved the head coach, but started trashing assistant coaches. Predictions that TAMU would lose recruits because of all the negativity. Result: TAMU has its highest rated incoming class ever -- maybe the highest rated class of any school ever. Just another case of proving negative posts by fans do NOT influence recruits. Passionate fans are exactly that -- passionate fans -- I would never argue that such posts influence recruits to come here, but I would challenge those who claim we are losing recruits because of negative posts to provide substantiation for their claims -- especially those who leave in a huff every week for about a minute or two before coming back.

Kids are so much smarter, savvy and get input from coaches, camps and so many other informed sources.

If any player let a sports blog influence his college athletic decision then that low intelligence athlete would not be worth giving a scholarship to attend.

This diseased diarrhea posted here by one immature incoherent irrational and irrelevant juvenile is a utter embarrassment to all sports posters and my Alma Mater.

Ignoring posts from our chosen one, folks on the Pitt board have just lost Whipple who took them from the 94th offense when he got there to number 3 when he left for Nebraska. Now his replacement is coming from the a program he led to the mid-nineties. There is is concern on the Pitt boards no matter how well Cignetti gets along with their head coach. And I read this concern on 5 different Pitt boards and if I were a Pitt fan I would have the same concerns.

What more can be said about Cignetti? If he is so great that he left BC to work for Narduzzi, then why did Mike Tomlin just send his son to play for Hafley? Could it be Tomlin wants his son playing WR with Jurkovec? Maybe, the Steelers are eyeing taking Jurkovec in next year's draft.

Could be, but he didn't do a whole lot at Maryland, so let's hope he takes advantage of his opportunity to help BC.

The rumor mill certainly seems quiet, Then again, Hafley does a good job of keeping things close to the vest, as witnessed by Jurk's big return against VT

I'm not sold on the greatness of having NFL coaches. They are comfortable working with all-american talent. But can they coach and teach 3-star high school players? Can they develop game plans that uses their players' strengths and not just his favorite type of game plans.

I agree Double Eagle, but the money for assistant coaches now is paying more in college than the Pros. But if they cannot develop the kids, they shouldn't be hired. It is sad that we may have 3-4 of our linemen drafted and they performed so poorly this past season. That is an indictment of our offensive coaches.
